Some people are very much gung-ho talking to others doing a 45 minutes presentation but others may not welcome such kind of idea at least at the very beginning. So what you should do is learn to quantify people. Since a lot of people can never do presentations in front of strangers, it would be advisable to first utilize the power of sponsoring tools like videos, events, and conference calls in building the business which in turn give people the chance to see that they can build the business too.

The bottom line is that you should be your first and loyal believer of yourself. Because if you fail to strongly believe in yourself, your dreams and the business, there is no sense to expect anyone to do so.

Benjamin Franklin was the original American millionaire, a world-class entrepreneur & inventor, and a master of all things be it business, commerce and finances. At the same breathe, he was also one of the most valuable – and persuasive — diplomats who ever lived.

And the above quote is likely his most lucrative secret. Yes, it’s quite simple. Yes, it may not even be sexy or glamorous. However, it has the potential to move mountains if you are involved in a business or an entrepreneur whether online or offline.

In fact, based on my own experience, as soon as I started taking this attitude seriously everything changed literally overnight.  My business went to the higher level financially, and everything just sort of fell into their right places like dominoes.

I watched as my sales went up. Profits soared higher than expected. Then my dream came true which is spending less time working and more time with my family and the things I am passionate about. I must say, thanks Mr. Franklin!

Anyway, here’s the point I am driving at. Someone once said if you treat your business as a business, it automatically got no choice but to succeed, and in a major way.  However, if you look at it as a hobby or use the “poke it with a stick” method that most other wannabe entrepreneurs use, you might as well expect that it will stay as a hobby giving you a hobby level of income or worse nothing at all.

I’d like to share with you something very powerful today that blew my mind off when I realized its importance to any business venture that I go into. And it’s the concept of leverage.

When I was working in the corporate world I used to hear these terms said during our team meetings and planning sessions, “Do more with less!”

I used to think this was an exploitative plan of doing more work for the same amount of people who are paid the same amount of salary. And it seemed unfair that we are already working our butts off doing our bosses bidding and here they are asking us to do even more without any pay raise.

I didn’t like the idea and perhaps even you do too. But now that I have taken on the entrepreneurial drive I have come to realize that those terms are more a challenge to our creativity than anything else.

You see when you dream of achieving more for the same amount of time that you have, you begin to think of what is possible. You begin to think outside the box that you are so used to.

You begin to use resources that you never thought existed and was possible to do. You begin to think beyond yourself and your own limitations and see the abundance of resources the world provides to you.

And this is when you begin to understand the concept of leverage — the capacity to do more and more with less and less.

The rich and successful ones know this principle, the poor and the middle class don’t. That is why the rich get richer because they use it to their advantage.

And this principle is even truer if you want to get ahead in your MLM business. If you are still stuck with the whole idea of calling your warm market, cold calling leads and attending numerous business presentations you don’t have much leverage in our hands.

When I was doing those things I knew from the start that it was not a very effective use of my time, but not knowing any better I had to do it that way. Until I have learned to leverage on the power of technology to build my organization.

The internet as a business tool is an enormous single blessing for us to use if we want to get ahead and be successful in our venture. Unfortunately most people still don’t realize it and they are still stuck inside the box created for them by their own view of the traditional business.

Failure to recognize and utilized the internet in effectively building your business means you are working with a very small amount of leverage in your hands. And leverage is one of those things that truly separate the rich from the poor. Leverage could be your bridge from failure to success – from zero to hero!

Please allow me to say that your business and your entire life will drastically change for the better if your focus is changed from that of Recruiting to Duplicating. There is no point of being good in hauling people into your business but weeks later only a handful is left because virtually everybody failed in the duplication department.

What does it mean by focusing on Duplicating? Alvin was making on average about $10,000 per week and was the #2 distributor in his company. He belongs to the top of his company’s structure and quite successful for what he is doing. Naturally, people are looking up to him for inspiration and support.

Alvin knows for sure the value of duplication and he made it sure that his people understand the concept as well – not just in words but more so in actions. When he had a qualified prospect on the phone that had already watched his video presentation of the opportunity and had also been on a conference call to get their questions answered — he never try to enroll them himself!

Let me repeat that…Alvin was the #2 income earner in his company … and was making approximately $10,000 per week. Yet, when he had a qualified prospect on the phone, he did not try to enroll that person by himself.

Why? It is because Alvin precisely knew that duplication is the critical key to success in building a home based business! Alvin knew that if he enrolled the prospect the prospect would think that they need to enroll their prospects. And it can put some pressures to the prospect which can lead to withdrawal of interest and passion.

Let’s go to CIDI – or Can I Do It? What if the prospect doesn’t “think” they can enroll a prospect? Would they join Alvin’s business? Most probably not … so what did Alvin do?

Alvin always brought a downline on the phone when it was time to enroll a new distributor. Now what did this do for the prospect? The prospect experienced what it means to build a business using proper duplication techniques.

Tim let his downline ask the enrolling questions for him. And what do you think that made the prospect think? The prospect thought: hey, if I join this business, I don’t need to be the one to enroll my prospects. I can call someone else just like Alvin did with me!

Brilliant, isn’t it?
